Job Title: Maintenance Technician III Department: Engineering
Reports to: Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Hourly
Job Summary: A Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the installation and removal of manufacturing equipment as well as executing preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
Serving a a key role in the continual improvement and development of the department overall they are expected to serve as both mentor and role model for level I & II Technicians.
Qualities & Responsibilities:
- Self-starter with a good attitude. Problem solver.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics (electrical & hydraulic).
- Generate and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, parts used.
- Install, Maintain, and troubleshot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, valve bodies, coils, etc.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, conveyors, material handling systems, etc.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Perform mold changes on presses as required.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Able to be on call as needed.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Work with and delegate duties on large projects to contractors, Level I & II Technicians.
Education and Experience:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent (required)
- Manufacturing experience (required)
- 2 Years of experience performing maintenance in a plastic processing facility (preferred)
- 5 Years of experience working with automated equipment, PLC’s (preferred)
- 3 Years of experience with work order management (preferred)
- HVAC & Boiler System Experience (preferred)
Requirements:
- Must be able to reach, stretch, bend, kneel, and during daily routine, with the ability to stand and walk for long lengths of time.
- Ability to lift, push and pull objects weighing over 50 pounds
- Must have a valid Driver's License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
